4.11 Grouping Objects

Two or more objects can be grouped together. Two methods to group objects are Shift+Click and Rectangle Select.

Shift+Click: Using the SHIFF key to select multiply objects
Objects can be grouped by doing the following:

1. Hold down the SHIFF key and then click on the first shape.
2. While continuing to hold down the SHIFF key, click on additional objects in the view.
3. In the Options panel click on the group objects selection. Or 2. Navigate to the Edit in the menubar and click on the menu item title “Group” Edit->Group (Command-G)

You have know created a group of objects.

Rectangle Select: Using a Rectangle to select multiply objects
Objects can also be grouped by dragging a rectangle around them.

1. Click and drag, a rectangle, in the view, in a location that does not contain any objects.
2. Drag the rectangle around several objects and then release the mouse button.
3. In the Options panel click on the group objects selection. Or 2. Navigate to the Edit in the menubar and click on the menu item title “Group” Edit->Group (Command-G)
