4.1 Apply Fills to Objects

Objects can have Fills applied to them. There are three fill types.

1. No fill
2. Color Fill
3. Gradient Fill.

Remove the fill of and existing object. “No Fill”

  1. Select and object in the view.
  2. Navigate to the Options panel and click on the dropdown menu titled “Solid” or “Gradient” and select “None”.

  1. Select and object in the view.
  2. Navigate to the Options panel and click on the square labeled fill. The Color picker will open up allowing a new color to be applied for the currently selected Object.

(Note: Some objects can not have a “Color fill” applied.)

  1. Select and object in the view.
  2. Navigate to the Options panel and click on the dropdown menu titled “None” or “Solid” and then select “Gradient”.
  3. Next click on the colored square to the left of the “Gradient” dropwdown. A new pop out gradient window will open.
  4. Int the Gradient window select the colors to be used in your gradient.

(Note: Some objects can not have a “Gradient Fill” applied.)

Color Styles from the Styles Browser can be applied objects in a view.

  1. Select and object in the view.
  2. Open the Style browser if it is not already open. (Navigate to the Toolbar and click on the icon titled “View” and then click on the “Styles” or “Pages and Styles” item.)
  3. At the bottom left of the window navigate through the Style listing to select your desired color. Once a color has been located click on the “Fill” buttons in the style browser to apply a color to the selected object in the  view.
